![]() ![]() IOW, Musehub is always able to communicate with someone unknown out there on the Internet. I see little or no discussion of this issue - maybe I'm missing it? Is this something that will be changed in the future? This seems to me to be highly user-unfriendly and potentially dangerous." I don't see anything to assure me that it ISN'T. "I don't know if Muse Hub Service is communicating with anywhere on the internet while its running with all those options turned off, but it seems to me to be quite likely that it CAN if it wants, and I as the computer owner have no control over it. ![]() I can find no way to change this behavior. That means that even if you stop the service, it will automatically start again after a re-boot. That option is greyed out, even if you are logged on as Administrator. What you cannot do is change the Service Type to anything from its default, Automatic. You can turn off its Auto Update options. "Something else I though I'd mention about Muse Hub: you can turn off its "Community Acceleration" option. Finally, this handbook entry ( ) claims that Muse Sounds is available as a separate download, yet gives no location for said download.I'll quote an earlier post of mine about Musehub: Upon visiting this link, however, it turned out to be a complete dead end. This article ( ) makes mention of a "Muse Installer," but does not explain what that even is or how to use it. I thought installing an older build would bring up the download prompt again, but it didn't.īrowsing the site didn't help much either. After canceling, I was not given another chance to get it. Whenever I tried to, though, nothing happened for several minutes after pressing the download button. ![]() I recently downloaded the latest nightly build of Musescore 4 and was given the option to install the Muse Sounds library. ![]()
